When I was younger, in my early 20's, I was into programming and algorithms and very interested in AI and learning systems.

I remember reading an article in a magazine (may have been Computing magazine or something like that) and there was a researcher that had created a progam that he intended to learn as if it was a child. I am thinking this was in Berkley but cannot be sure but I think it was a University in California …
