Question about using AMD CPU for studying and working in Computer Vision field.

Hi everyone, I'm currently an engineer in Deep Learning and Computer Vision field, and I'm about to buy a new laptop. I heard that AMD CPUs are not ideal for Deep Learning or Computer Vision library and framework, those CPUs from AMD might not work or run much slower than Intel CPUs.
