I am releasing an interesting dataset. It consists of about 2,000 shapes and their corresponding time series. The data is in five classes, Arrowheads, Butterflies, Seashells, Heraldic Shields and Fish. The original images for all (except Arrowheads) were extracted from historical manuscripts.

Time series are extracted by “unwinding” the shapes. A bundled paper explains how this was done.
