We wanted to share our recent review paper “Machine learning for ancient languages: a survey” published in Computational Linguistics (MIT Press). Our work surveyed over 240 research papers using machine learning for the study of ancient texts written in any language, script and medium. This review is intended to promote and support the continued collaborative impetus between the Humanities and Machine Learning, and is a part of our effort on AI for the Humanities.
