I am looking for a method for filtering noisy 2D trajectories (input from a pointing device). The noise is non-Gaussian and non-linearly time/velocity/position-dependent, so Kalman filter does not seem to be a good fit.

I am looking for something simple and fast. RNNs, WaveNet, ConvNet? It seems there is optimization potential by making use of equivariance in ConvNets, i.e. reusing most network activations in the next timestep?
