Should I give up on my dreams of becoming a data scientist out of university?

It’s a long story but I was a data analytics major at my old university. I’m currently a second year at my new university majoring in a niche non-quantitative social science field and minoring in data science.

Although I have taken coursework in data science at my new university and I have internship work related to the field, I’m still worried that no firm will hire me because I’m not a ds major.
