Machine Learning www.reddit.com

I'm from a different engineering field hoping to switch careers and become a ML engineer. So far I have been doing data science courses but my question is should I also learn web/app development? Through something like https://www.dj4e.com/ which uses Python that I'm most familiar with.

Is knowing how to develop a web application be helpful in getting a job as a ML engineer?
