, I am trying to find image differences in terms of Defects in an Image As far as I have read about the structural similarity index, it sees the image as a cluster of pixels and compares it in such ways, rather than seeing one pixel at a time, in case of mean square error I guess.
By reading more about the SSIM, I came across a function in the library skimage, which gives the SSIM score. (compare\_ssim) …
