Training an object detector from scratch

I was trying to train an object detector from scratch. It's a custom dataset so I don't think a pretrained backbone like Resnet on COC would help.
My architecture is fairly straightforward where I have different heads to do a certain part of the detection that is the center of the object, size of the box, class, etc, and have formulated as a multi-task loss.
The thing is few of the losses are MSE and a few CE …
