What are people's thoughts on having a portfolio project where the end result isn't necessarily impressive but the project shows that you have learned a lot through the process of working on it?

For context, I am in the final stages of wrapping up a time series forecasting problem that would have had some pretty useful business utility. I didn't know much about TS before starting it.
