I have 6ish years of experience doing DS with python and excel.

Work has asked me to look at powerBI as a more stake-holder friendly solution than pure python.

I've been messing with it, but it doesn't really seem to do much more than excel. Ordinary tools that I rely on from pandas don't seem to be there. What am I missing?
