When should we expect improvements to the home assistant (Google Home/Alexa) experience?

I am not well versed in AI, but I've played around with Chat GPT and have a Google Home and I am blown away by how helpful Chat GPT is and how it's able to parse through random/poorly written questions and produce answers and be able to answer follow-up questions.
