Why do paraphrasing ai tools cost so much per month?

I have been looking at a lot of ai paraphrasing and rewriting tools for the past couple months, and I have noticed that pretty much all of them limit you to 5k–6k words per month for a $12–$20 per month subscription. 5k words should only cost $1-$2 a month (based on the chatGPT api price).
