Hello, everyone. I'm currently working on a project that involves detecting and counting small rectangular objects in images, and I could use some guidance. Some of the images I'm working with contain approximately a thousand such objects. Occasionally, there are also squares present in the images, and I need to be able to distinguish between these and the rectangles.

Here's the approach I've taken so far:

img = cv2.imread(path_to_image, cv2.IMREAD_GRAYSCALE)

_, thresh = cv2.threshold(gray,150,255,0)

contours,hierarchy = cv2.findContours(thresh, 1, 2)
