Are data science projects meant to be like this?

Me: 25M, graduated 2022, working as data analyst for a large fashion wholesale firm.

So, the downside of my job is that there is little-to-no technical mentorship here.

The upside is that my role is pretty autonomous, and in general my supervisor lets me design and conduct projects on my own, as long as there’s direct business relevance.
