Detect glasses on wet surface using python and opencv

I am currently working on a robot which should pour out drinks. The robot itself works just fine but now I am struggling with the computer vision part. I want to place a tray with glasses under it and it should detect them and give out the coordinates of each glass.
My code works fine but only if the tray is completely dry and as you can imagine it won't stay that way for long, so now I am …
