Does graduate school prestige matter?

I'm about to enter my senior year of undergrad this Fall as a Stats major with a minor in Math. I'm also planning on pursuing a Master's Degree in Stats, DS, or ML after working for 2-3 years as a data analyst (or data scientist with title inflation).

My current understanding is that advanced degrees are common for Data Scientists, even more so for higher-paid positions like in FAANG.
