I wanna learn CV from scratch for a drone project

Hello, I am a 3rd MIS student. I wanna be able to use opencv python library and use it with mission planner to make autonomous drone project that can detect objects such as people in a forest or detect fire in a forest for search and rescue missions etc.

I just wanna know what is the roadmap I should follow and what resources will teach me to do a project like this?
