MacBook Air M1 is good for deep learning or I should go for a laptop with Nvidia GPU?

So I recently started learning ML/DL and gonna buy a new laptop, some of my seniors recommended me to go for Nvidia RTX laptops because of DL especially and they say " *You can't use the CUDA package if you don't have an NVIDIA graphics card* ", but I also think M1 is pretty good and MacBooks have a better build and battery life so I am confused hence feel free to share your opinion!
