Monitoring my best model with validation loss or validation AUC ?

I'm working on a Deep Learning project, and my team and I have been wondering about a particular aspect. I'm training a large Deep Learning model using TensorFlow and employing a callback to save the best model during the training process. Initially, I was saving the model with the best validation loss throughout the epochs.
