My OpenCV python script takes 22 minutes to finish. How can I make it significantly faster?

The general process goes as such,
I take an image of a card-game deck, such as this:

I then pick one card in my folder containing all card images of the game:

I resize the card image to be on par with the dimensions of a card in the deck's image
