Hi there!

After two years in my company, I still have very little overview about what data we have and where. By now I am convinced no one does.

How does your company create a map of the data landscape it posesses, such that it does not fade into oblivion? Is there a huge UML Diagram, is there a wiki where databases can have their wiki page? Do you work with a data catalog?

Or are all these approaches infeasable, …
