Resnet34 implementation for a beginner

Hello fellow deeplearning enthusiast,
For the purpose of a personnal project, I am trying to use machine learning to identify a certain type of plant underwater. Therefore I want to start building a model using Resnet34 (or 18) on do some tests on this Kaggle data set before building my own dataset.
I'm fairly new to data science and I'm struggling to understand how I really want to do things.
