Abstract: Transformers have improved drastically the performance of natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision applications. The computation of transformers involves matrix multiplications and non-linear activation functions such as softmax and GELU (Gaussion Error Linear Unit) that are accelerated directly in hardware.
