On the last job interview I was asked how would I solve the problem of detecting small object on an image. Thinking about this problem led me to an interesting idea to zoom in the image to obtain more details about small objects. This approach turns out to be super-resolution - one of popular tasks solved by Deep Learning in recent years.

I was tempted to find out if super-resolution was applied to object detection problem in real.
