Why does nobody ask technical questions?

I’ve had dozens of interviews over the past 6 months and nobody has asked a single tech question or done a technical assessment. I think I’ve got to the final round 6 times without any offers.

What was the point of learning data science if employers are just going to judge me based on what spirit animal I would be or where I see myself in 10 years?
