As an analyst, how do I get more involved in data science/engineering?

My official title is Senior Analyst - Data Science department. My job is creating tableau dashboards, querying and creating data sources in database software like Azure, SQL server, Oracle, etc. The larger organization that I'm in does have machine learning engineers, and does every form of data science that you can imagine.
