Number of images for YOLO.

I am going to train a YOLOv5 to detect these different poker chips flat on a table from above. Online resources say I should use hundreds to thousands of images. However, since the chips are quite simple and only the face will ever be viewed, how many images would you recommend I use? Would just 50 be alright for each chip?
